Pancake Day

During last week's class session, my ESL students and I took over the church kitchen and made pancakes. The students brought all the ingredients necessary to make their country's traditional pancake. We had a wonderful time doing mini-cooking demonstrations and taste testing each other's pancakes. We were able to sample traditional pancakes from Taiwan, Tibet, Korean, Japan, and America. The students wrote up their recipes for me (in English) and I will post them as I have a chance.

Rebecca, that was seriously amazing. I love that you provided this opportunity for them. They looked like they were having so much fun, and how honoring it must be to ask them to share something special to them with everyone else. I bet there was a lot of laughter in that kitchen! And I bet you were one of the ones laughing a whole lot!

I miss you, friend. I can't wait to see you at Christmas. (I really, really hope that works out!!)

How fun!
I am glad that I was able to meet all of your students. And I am bummed that I missed out on Pancake Day 2007!

That looked like fun! It is so nice to share other cultural food/events. I work with lots of people from China and India. On their special holidays they bring in various types of food to share. It's really nice.

See you soon!

Yes, it was a hair-brained idea that turned out to be a wonderful opportunity for the ladies in my class to share their culture with me and each other. I have learned as much (or more!) from them about their cultures as they have learned English from me.

I wish you all could have been there to try the pancakes. I was amazed at how many variations there are of something so simple! I posted the recipes so I hope that you'll give at least one of them a try (don't bother with mine, though!)

Factors that Affect Growth
There are infinitely many factors that cause height problems. If you are aiming to increase your height, then it would be better to learn about the matters that inhibit your body to grow.
First factor is the hereditary. The dominant genes in your body play a huge role in your height. If your parents are small, you cannot expect to be really tall because of the predominant genes. But if for any instance both of the parents have “being tall” as a recessive gene, one of their children can be lucky enough to grow tall.
Second, diet has a direct effect on your growth. If you grow up without having the proper nutrition, you will not grow as healthy as you are supposed to be, making you end up shorter than you ought to be.
Third, if you do not exercise or have no regular physical activity, you cannot expect to grow tall. Exercise helps improve the muscles and bones, and with no exercise, there is little room for improvement. Visit here, http://www.growth-flex.com/ .
Fourth factor is your posture. If you stop your backbone curves unnaturally, giving more pressure on your back’s vertebral discs. This in turn makes a person shorter than he actually is.
The last factor is the growth hormone production in the body is. If your body produces minimal growth hormones, you cannot really expect to grow even an inch. On this last factor, scientists have found a solution. Instead of just contenting yourself on the normal hormone production, you can boost it up with the help of growth hormone releasers such as Growth Flex V Pro System.
